How many days per week are Pearl Harbor tours available?

Pearl Harbor tours operate 7 days per week. However, Pearl Harbor is the #1 visitor attraction in Hawaii, so the tours book up and sell out quickly. Be sure and reserve ahead of time in order to ensure availability.

Where are the pickup points for the tour?

The are several different pickup points located in Waikiki for tour pickup. Once we know your hotel location, we will be able to assign you to the closest pickup location to your accommodations. We also offer pickup from the Honolulu International Airport in order to accommodate guests that are flying in from an Outer-Island in order to experience the Pearl Harbor tour.

I’m not staying in Waikiki? Can I still take the tour?

Absolutely! Many of our guests are staying in condos, vrbo’s, airbnb’s, and hotels that are not located in Waikiki. Many guests even fly in from outer islands in order to experience the tour. In this case, you simply need to meet the bus in Waikiki for your pickup. We have a very centrally located pickup point located right next to the most affordable all day parking in Waikiki. Contact our agents for more information about drive times and your specific considerations. If you are coming in from an outer-island, then we can pick you up from the Honolulu Airport.

Should I book Pearl Harbor reservations in advance?

Pearl Harbor is the #1 attraction in the whole state for all islands. If there is any tour that you should book well in advance, then it’s Pearl Harbor because of the large demand for tours. During peak tourism season, we are often booked up solid for a week in advance. Give us a call today to check on availability.

What should I bring with me on the Pearl Harbor tour?

One very important consideration is that you ARE NOT ALLOWED to bring bags of any kind into Pearl Harbor… Including camera bags. While inconvenient, this is for security reasons. So, it is best to pack pretty light for your Pearl Harbor excursion. Cameras, phones, and other devices are welcome, but you need to be able to carry it on your person without any bags. We will provide Kona Coffee, cold water, and some special Hawaiian pastries. Plus, there are concessions available within the park. Wear comfortable clothes, and bring sunscreen and sunglasses.

Are there storage lockers available?

Yes! If you really need to bring a bag with you then you can rent a locker for the day to store your items. There is a fee of $5 USD for use of the storage lockers.

What island is Pearl Harbor on?

Pearl Harbor is located on the Island of Oahu. However, you can still visit if you are staying on an Outer-Island. We offer transportation to and from the Honolulu Airport.

What are the different monuments that are available for guests to visit during the Pearl Harbor tour?

There are so many attractions to see at Pearl Harbor! The most popular attractions are the Visitors Center & Museums, USS Arizonal Memorial, USS Bowfin Submarine, USS Missouri Battleship, Pacific Aviation Museum, and the Virtual Reality Center. There are different tour options that allow you to see only certain monuments, or all of the them depending on your preference and desired experience. The standard USS Arizona Memorial Tour (Half Day) also includes stops at the Punchbowl National Cemetery and the statue of King Kamehameha the Great. If you are participating the Arizona Bowfin tour or the Passport to Pearl Harbor (Full Day), then you will spend more time at Pearl Harbor visiting monuments. The full day tours do not include stops at Punchbowl or the Kam Statue.

Are there any days throughout the year when Pearl Harbor is closed to the public?

Pearl Harbor is open from 7am – 5pm almost every day of the year. However the park is closed on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day.

What if I’m staying on an outer-island like Maui or Kauai?

No problem! Many of our guests travel from outer islands in order to attend the Pearl Harbor tour. We offer packages that include your airfare to Oahu and tour bus pickup from the Honolulu International Airport. If you are visiting from another island, we recommend the Passport or Arizona Bowfin Package so that the depth and duration of your experience is worth the extra travel time.

How many soldiers were killed during the attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941?

Around 2300 soldiers were killed. In addition to soldiers, there were around 65 civilian personnel that were lost. The number of injured survivors came to just over 1100 people.

How long was the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor?

While there were different waves of fighter planes during the bombing, the entire attack was less than 2 hours in duration. The attack began at 8:00am on December 7th, 1941 and was over by 9:45am HST.
